Day 1 ISTANBUL – NAPLES
Meeting with our esteemed guests at the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight time. After baggage and ticket procedures, we will fly to Naples with a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. After our arrival, we will start our city tour. The tour includes the Royal Palace built in the 16th century, the San Carlo Theatre that hosts some of the world's most important performances, the Umberto I Gallery famous for its cafes and shops, the Church of San Francesco Di Paolo inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, Plebiscito Square, the Angevin Castle, and Naples Harbor. After our tour, we will transfer to our hotel and enjoy some free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Pompeii extra tour organized by our guide for an additional cost of (55 Euro). Pompeii, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, which erupted in AD 79 and destroyed the city. Following extensive excavations by archaeologists that began in 1748, the city has been brought to life. The sites to be visited include the Basilica, the Forum, the House of Faun, restaurants, baths, and bakeries. Transfer to the hotel after arriving in Naples. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 2 NAPLES
After breakfast, there will be free time. Then, guests who wish can join the optional Amalfi Coast extra tour organized by our guide for an additional cost of (95 Euro). On this trip, we will have the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery of the high rocky cliffs and charming villages that overlook the sea, winding and steep roads, ornate gardens, and turquoise waters along Italy's most beautiful coastline, the Amalfi Coast. We also have the chance to see the contrasting beauties of southern and northern Italy. Our tour begins in Sorrento, one of Italy's most romantic cities. In Sorrento, with its lush streets and flower-filled squares, we will fall under its charm and proceed to Ravello through Positano. This town, where all homes are built on top of one another, is covered in lemon orchards. We will have free time for photos in Positano, which we will visit panoramically, and then we will head to Ravello for lunch and shopping. After some free time, we set off for Amalfi. Guests who wish can visit the Amalfi Cathedral, while others can enjoy their free time in the beautiful streets of Amalfi. Transfer back to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 3 NAPLES – LECCE
After breakfast, we will head to Lecce. Along the route, there will be an option to join an extra Matera tour (35 Euro). We will visit Matera, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, consisting of churches and houses carved into the rock, which Carlo Levi visited before his exile. After our tour, we will continue to Lecce. Upon arrival, we will begin our city tour. Known as the Florence of Southern Italy, our Lecce city tour will include the Santa Croce Basilica, the ancient city center, Duomo Square, Sant’Oronzo Square, and the Naples Gate. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 4 LECCE – CALABRIA
After breakfast, we will head to the Calabria region. Along the route, there will be an option to join an extra Alberobello tour (35 Euro). Upon arrival in Alberobello, we will see the cone-shaped trullo houses in the town which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Afterward, we will arrive in Tropea, one of the most famous holiday resorts in Calabria, where we will have free time. At a time determined by our guide, transfer to our hotel located in the Calabria region. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 5 CALABRIA – CATANIA
After breakfast, we will head to Messina. After arrival, we will begin a panoramic city tour of Messina. The tour will include places such as the Carmine Church, Messina Cathedral, Orione Fountain, Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani Church, and the astronomical clock of Messina. After the tour, we will move to the port. After a short ferry ride, we will cross the Strait of Messina and arrive in the city of Messina. Afterwards, we will proceed to Catania. Upon arrival, we will do a panoramic city tour. The tour will include places such as Duomo Cathedral, the Elephant Fountain, Republic Square (Piazza Repubblica), and Etna Street. After the tour, there will be free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 6 CATANIA
After breakfast, there will be free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Etna & Taormina & Savoca tour organized by our guide for an additional cost of (90 Euro). Our tour will include a visit to Mount Etna, which is the only active volcano in Europe, followed by a visit to Taormina, one of Sicily's most beautiful coastal towns. You will have the opportunity to see the Roman-Greek style theater and enjoy some free time for shopping. After our free time, we will head to Savoca. In this town, famous for being the filming location of one of the greatest film trilogies of all time, The Godfather, you can enjoy coffee in the café where Al Pacino had his coffee and spend your free time walking the streets where the film was shot. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 7 CATANIA – PALERMO
After breakfast, we will head to Palermo. Along the route, there will be an option to join an extra Cefalu tour (35 Euro). In this charming fishing town located along the Tyrhennian Sea, we will see the 12th-century historical cathedral, the fisherman’s gate, and spend time in the city’s original streets before continuing to Palermo. Upon arrival in Palermo, we will begin our city tour. The tour will include Cappella Palatina, San Giovanni Cathedral, Politeama Square, Normanni Palace, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma, and Via Liberta streets. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 8 PALERMO – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to Palermo airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, take a scheduled flight with Turkish Airlines. Arrival in Istanbul and the end of our tour.
