DAY 1 ISTANBUL – BARI – CATANIA
We meet our esteemed guests in front of the Freebird Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport, 3 hours before the flight time. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Bari with a special flight of Freebird Airlines. Following our arrival, we transfer to Messina. After arriving, we visit Carmine Church, Messina Cathedral, Orione Fountain, Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani Church, and the Messina Astronomical Clock before heading to Catania. Upon our arrival in Catania, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 2 CATANIA
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then we depart from our hotel for the Catania city tour. During our tour, we will visit Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell’Elefante, Republic Square (Piazza Repubblica), and Etna Street. After the tour, we will have free time. Guests who desire can join the optional Etna & Taormina & Savoca Tour (90 Euro) organized by our guide. In this tour, we will visit Etna Volcano, the only active volcano in Europe, and then proceed to Taormina, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Sicily. You will have the opportunity to see the Roman-Greek style theater located at the foot of Mount Tauro and free time for shopping. After our free time, we will move to Savoca. In this city, where one of the best film trilogies ever, The Godfather (Baba), was shot, you can have coffee in the café where Al Pacino had coffee and spend your free time in the streets where the film was shot. After the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 3 CATANIA – PALERMO
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then we head to Palermo. Guests who wish can join the optional Cefalu Tour (35 Euro) organized by our guide en route. During our tour, we will spend time in the charming fishing village of Cefalu located on the shore of the Tyrrhenian Sea, where we will see the 12th-century historical cathedral, the fishermen's gate, and the city’s authentic streets. After this visit, we continue our journey to Palermo. Upon our arrival in Palermo, we begin our panoramic city tour. Places to be seen during the tour include Cappella Palatina, San Giovanni Cathedral, Politeama Square, Normanni Palace, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma, and Via Liberta streets. After the tour, we will transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 4 PALERMO – CALABRIA
After breakfast, we head to the Calabria Region. After a short ferry ride, we cross the Messina Strait and arrive at the city of Villa San Giovanni. Following our arrival in Tropea, one of the most famous holiday resorts in the Calabria region, we will have free time. Then, at the time determined by our guide, we will transfer to our hotel in the Calabria region. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 5 CALABRIA – NAPLES
After breakfast, we move to Naples. Upon our arrival, we will have a panoramic city tour. During our tour, we will see the Royal Palace built in the 16th century, the San Carlo Theater, which hosts some of the most important performances in the world, Umberto 1 Gallery known for its cafés and shops, San Francesco Di Paolo Church built inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, Plebiscito Square, Angevins Castle, and Naples Harbor. After the city tour, there will be free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Pompeii Ancient City Tour (65 Euro). The city of Pompeii was buried under 7 meters of soil until the 18th century due to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79. After the excavations started in this year, we will have the opportunity to see the houses, palaces, and petrified people that were uncovered. After the tour, we will transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 6 NAPLES
After breakfast, guests who wish can join the optional Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Tour (95 Euro). In this tour, we will experience the breathtaking views from the high steep cliffs, colorful charming villages overlooking the sea, winding and steep roads, decorated gardens, and turquoise waters of the Amalfi Coast, which is one of the most beautiful coastlines in Italy. We also get the chance to see the southern and northern Italian panorama with all its contrasting beauties. Our tour starts with Sorrento, one of Italy's most romantic cities, with emerald streets and flower-filled squares. We then proceed to Positano, where lemon groves cover the entirety of the city, and the houses seem stacked upon each other. After a panoramic visit to Positano, we will have free time for photos before moving to Amalfi for lunch and shopping. Guests who wish can see the Amalfi Cathedral while those who prefer can spend their free time in the beautiful streets of Amalfi. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 7 NAPLES – BARI
After breakfast, we head to Bari, but beforehand, guests who desire can participate in the optional Matera Tour (35 Euro) organized by our guide en route. We will visit Matera, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, which consists of churches and houses carved into the rock and where Carlo Levi spent time before his exile. After the Matera tour, we arrive in Bari and have a panoramic city tour. During the tour, we will see the Cathedral and St. Nicholas Basilica, Teatro Margerita, Petruzzelli Theater, and the Old Town. After the tour, there will be free time. Then we will return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 8 BARI – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and completing the hotel check-out procedures (the check-out time is 10:00 AM), there will be free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Alberobello & Polignano a Mare Tour (55 Euro). In this tour, we will first see the Trullo houses (mushroom houses) in Alberobello, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After arriving in Polignano a Mare, we will begin our city tour, visiting the old town center and the shores of Polignano a Mare. After the tour, we will have free time on the unique coastline of Polignano a Mare. Later, we will head to Bari airport at the time determined by our guide. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, we will depart for Istanbul with Pegasus Airlines flight PC 6987 at 18:20. We will arrive in Istanbul at 22:30 local time and conclude our tour.
