October 29 Special Magnificent Great Italy Tour with Turkish Airlines for 7 Nights
1. Day İstanbul – Milan
Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal in front of the Turkish Airlines counter 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Milan on Turkish Airlines flight TK1873 at 06:50. Upon arrival at 08:45 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. In Milan, famous for its rich blend of historical and modern sights, places to be seen include the Duomo Cathedral, one of the largest and most magnificent Gothic cathedrals in the world; La Scala, one of the world’s oldest opera houses; Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a stunning 19th-century arched shopping gallery; and Castello Sforzesco (Milan Castle) with its magnificent architecture. After the tour, guests who wish may join the Magnificent Lakes (Como & Lugano) and Outlet Center Tour. (70 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Como. Named after Lake Como, with which the city is identified, this city is one of the world’s most visited attractions, boasting a unique natural beauty. In addition to its architectural beauty reflecting Gothic and Renaissance styles, Como is also notable for the homes of world-famous names such as Madonna and George Clooney. Our second stop is Lugano. Lake Lugano is a captivating lake located in southern Switzerland at the foothills of the Alps. This lake combines the cultural and natural characteristics of both Switzerland and Italy. After visiting this city, famous for its magnificent views and stylish shopping streets, we stop for shopping at the outlet with world-famous brands. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. 2. Day Milan – Verona – Venice
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Venice. On the way, we take part in the Magnificent Verona Tour. (Verona tour is included in the tour price.) Verona is a historic city in northern Italy, located on the banks of the Adige River, and has a rich cultural heritage dating back to Roman times. Evoking a sense of history, architecture, and literature, the city is known for Shakespeare’s famous work Romeo and Juliet; it attracts visitors with the structure known as Juliet’s House and its balcony. Among Verona’s impressive medieval structures is the 1st-century amphitheater Arena di Verona, a magnificent Roman structure that still hosts major concerts. In addition, the city’s narrow cobblestone streets, lively squares such as Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra reflect its rich history and cultural diversity. After the tour, we continue on our way to Venice. Venice, a historic fairy-tale city dancing on water, enchants visitors with its romance and mystery, wrapped like a labyrinth with canals and gondolas. On our city tour, San Marco Basilica and Square, Doge’s Palace, Canal Grande, the Bridge of Sighs, and Rialto Bridge are among the sights to be seen in Venice. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Gondola Tour on Venice’s Canals. (35 Euro) On this tour, carried out with traditional gondolas, one of Venice’s symbols, we will have the opportunity to see Venice’s canals. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel.
3. Day Venice – Bologna – Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Florence. On the way, we will carry out our Magnificent Bologna Tour. (Bologna tour is included in the tour price.) Bologna is a historic settlement in northern Italy, nestled among the Apennine Mountains and standing out with its cultural richness. During the city tour in this beautiful city, Piazza Maggiore, San Petronio Basilica, Podesta Palace, and the City Hall are among the places to be seen. After the tour, we continue on to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, the city where the Renaissance was born, our panoramic city tour begins. In Florence, a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel, our city tour includes the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore), the Baptistery, the Old Palace, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Signoria. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel in Montecatini.
4. Day Florence – Pisa & Siena & San Gimignano – Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Tuscan Towns (Pisa & Siena & San Gimignano) Tour. (100 Euro) Our first stop is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of the country’s symbols, famous for its tilted structure. After taking wonderful photos here, we move on to Siena, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Siena, with its narrow streets and stone buildings that carry the magic of the Middle Ages, offers visitors a journey through time with its historic Piazza del Campo and impressive cathedral, standing like an elegant fortress at the heart of traditional Italian city life. Our final stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano is a town in the heart of Tuscany, famous for its stone towers rising like a medieval fairy tale. Known as the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages,” this impressive settlement is recognized for its 14 tall towers, the result of the wealth and prestige rivalry among city-states in the 14th century. Its narrow, labyrinth-like streets and historic buildings make visitors feel the traces of the past vividly. Additionally, the town, offering magnificent panoramic views, enchants with its artistic and cultural richness; its Gothic and Romanesque buildings, historic square Piazza della Cisterna, and captivating frescoes make it a true treasure of history and art. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
5. Day Florence – Orvieto – Rome
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rome, the country’s largest city and capital. On the way, we take part in the Magnificent Orvieto Tour. (Orvieto tour is included in the tour price.) This impressive medieval town, located on a high volcanic hill in central Italy, is famous for its magnificent Gothic cathedral, wide square, and historic streets. The mosaics and detailed exterior of Orvieto Cathedral are both artistic and architectural masterpieces. After the tour, we continue on our way to Rome. The city, which was once the center of one of the greatest civilizations in history, has been the center of power, culture, and religion throughout its approximately 2500-year history. Its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has a remarkably rich historical heritage and a cosmopolitan atmosphere with its splendid palaces, thousand-year-old churches and basilicas, magnificent romantic ruins, ornate monuments, decorated statues, and elegant fountains. The Vatican (St. Peter’s Cathedral), the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity; the Colosseum, where gladiator fights were held; the Roman Forum, the center of the ancient city of Rome where religious, political, and social activities once took place; the Vittoriano Monument; the Trevi Fountain, known in our country as the Fountain of Love; and the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna) are among the places to be seen. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
6. Day Rome – Castel Gondolfo & Nemi & Vatican – Rome
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Castel Gondolfo & Nemi & Outlet & Vatican Tour. (80 Euro) Our first stop is Castel Gandolfo, home to the Papal Summer Palace, known as the Pope’s summer residence. This historic palace and its surroundings are famous for their impressive views and beautiful gardens. Then we head to Nemi Village. This village, located around Lake Nemi formed within a volcanic crater, is also known as the strawberry village because the region is famous for its fresh and delicious strawberries. With its historical remains, narrow stone streets, and beautiful lake views, the village is an attractive place for both tourists and nature lovers. During free time, you will have the opportunity to stroll around the village and shop. After the tour, we go to one of Italy’s most famous outlet areas and enjoy free time. In this outlet area, you will have the opportunity to shop at attractive prices. After the tour, we move on to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, considered the center of Christianity. Upon arrival, free time for visiting the basilica and the square. As you walk around the square, the obelisk in the center and the columns surrounding the square will enchant you. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight.
7. Day Rome – Naples
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Naples. This energetic port city in southern Italy, full of historical and cultural richness, lies on the coast of the Mediterranean under the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, offering a magnificent view, with lively markets, traditional pizza, and impressive historical remains giving it a unique character. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Pompeii Tour. (60 Euro) You will embark on a deep journey into the ancient Roman period through the remarkably well-preserved remains of settlements and daily life in this archaeological site of the ancient Roman city, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 BC and unearthed thousands of years later. Then transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
8. Day Naples – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, free time until the hour determined by our guide. Guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Town Sorrento tour. (35 Euro) Sorrento is a captivating seaside town in southern Italy, located on the coast of the Gulf of Naples. Known as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is famous for its magnificent sea views, historic buildings, and lemon groves. Its narrow stone streets, traditional Italian architecture, and small boutique shops make it an attractive destination for visitors. We strongly recommend not to miss this tour. After the tour, transfer to Naples Airport. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1880 at 19:20. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:40 local time, and the end of the tour.
