9 Nights Italy & Malta & Greece with Costa Fortuna Departure from Istanbul - May 2, 2026
Day 1 – Istanbul - Milan
We meet at Istanbul New Airport 3 hours before the flight and complete check-in procedures, then fly to Milan (MXP) Airport. Upon arrival, we transfer to the 5* Costa Fortuna.
Day 2 – Civitavecchia | Rome City Tour
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the Rome City Tour organized as an extra by our guide. On this full-day tour, after a 1 hour 15 minute journey from Civitavecchia Port by bus waiting for us, we arrive in Rome and take a panoramic tour by bus. Places to be seen include Castel Sant'Angelo, the Tiber River, Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Popolo Square, Republic Square, Via Nazionale, the Theater of Marcellus, and the Circus Maximus, as well as the Forum areas. Afterwards, we explore Rome’s famous squares on foot. Places to be seen include Pantheon Square, Navona Square, the Fountain of Love, and the Spanish Steps, where we end the tour and have some shopping time. At the end of our tour, we return to the ship. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3 – Messina | Savoca & Taormina & Messina Tour
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the Savoca & Taormina & Messina tour organized as an extra by the ship. During our tour, we will see the places where the world-famous film The Godfather was shot. Taormina, one of Sicily’s most beautiful holiday resorts, is another lovely area we will visit during the tour. Then we head to Messina, known as the “Gateway to Sicily.” Founded in the Ancient Greek period, this beautiful city is considered the spiritual capital of Sicily with its historical past. After our pleasant visit in Messina, one of the region’s most modern and lively cities, we return to the ship. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4 – La Valletta | Mdina & Valletta & Mosta
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join our Mosta & Valletta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk tour organized as an extra by the ship. Our first stop is Mosta. On this tour, we visit the Santa Maria Assunta Basilica, which has the third largest dome in Europe. The exterior diameter of its dome is 56.2 meters, and the interior paintings of this huge basilica were especially made by the painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see the replica of the 200 kg bomb dropped by Nazi German planes during World War II in 1942, which pierced the dome and became lodged in the church floor without exploding, and learn about the interior and exterior architecture of the church. Then we visit Mdina, the old capital of Malta and a natural set where many scenes of the famous Game of Thrones series were filmed. Walking through the narrow streets of this medieval city, known as the Silent City, we will see the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, Falson Palace built by the Falson family, one of Malta’s noble families, in the 13th century, the Carmelite Monastery built in Baroque style in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and Mdina’s old houses. Afterwards, we continue our tour with a visit to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You should not miss the view offered by the small charming fishing boats called luzzu, which have Malta’s unique colors and design. At this charming fishing village, where an open market is also set up, there will be free time for our guests who wish to have lunch at local restaurants offering menus of fresh fish and seafood. After our free time, we head to Valletta. We will carry out our Valletta city tour. Valletta was selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2018 by the Council of Ministers of the European Union. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent walled city of Valletta from the outside. After the bus tour, we explore the lively streets of the capital Valletta with our guide. Our first stop will be the Barrakka Gardens, built on the upper part of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, also offer magnificent views of the Grand Harbour and the three old cities surrounded by walls. At the end of our tour, we return to the ship. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5 – Cruising
We spend the whole day cruising. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy this magnificent ship. You can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner either at the open buffet restaurant, where a variety of dishes suitable for every taste are freshly prepared by expert chefs, or at your specially assigned table in the A La Carte restaurant. During the day, you can benefit from yoga and fitness classes, as well as the sports hall equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, open-air tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, or bodybuilding equipment. After dinner, you may spend time in the ship’s colorful and entertaining bars and cafés listening to live music, attend Broadway-style musical theater performances, or try your luck at the casino. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6 – Heraklion (Crete) | Crete Island Tour
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the Crete Tour organized as an extra by the ship. On this tour in Crete, which has always been one of the most important islands in the Mediterranean throughout history, places to be seen include Plateia Eleftherias (Liberty Square), Agios Titos, Rasih Bey Mansion, Ayos Minas (Cathedral), the Ottoman Bon Marche Building, the Valide Sultan Mosque Fountain, the Evkaf Building, the Morosini Fountain, Ottoman Barracks, the Venetian Loggia, and the Venetian Port and shipyards. At the end of our tour, we return to the ship. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7 – Piraeus (Athens) | Athens City Tour
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the Athens City Tour organized as an extra by our guide. On this tour, important places to be seen include the Agora, the Temple of Zeus, the Parliament Building, Syntagma and Omonia Squares, the Presidential Palace, the Prime Minister’s Residence, the Historic Olympic Stadium, the National Gallery, the War Museum, Panepistimiou Boulevard, the National Library, and the Academy of Athens. Then we head toward the Acropolis. At the end of our tour, we return to the ship.
Day 8 – Volos | Meteora Monasteries and Pelion Mountain Villages Tour
After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the Meteora Monasteries and Pelion Mountain Villages Tour organized as an extra by our guide. Starting from Volos, this unforgettable opportunity is ideal for those who want to experience Greece’s natural and cultural richness together by exploring the mystical monasteries of Meteora and the traditional villages of Mount Pelion. Departing from Volos in the morning, the tour reaches Meteora after approximately a 2-hour journey through the impressive landscapes of the Thessaly plain. Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its 14th-century monasteries built on massive rock formations. Accompanied by a guide, you will visit two of these monasteries and examine the symbols, wall paintings, and architecture of Orthodox Christianity up close. You will also have free time to photograph the panoramic views of the region. Afterwards, you may visit traditional villages such as Makrinitsa and Portaria at the foothills of Mount Pelion. With their cobblestone streets, Ottoman-period architecture, and magnificent views, these villages offer an opportunity to get to know Greek culture and lifestyle up close. You can take a coffee break in village cafés, taste local delicacies, and shop for souvenirs. At the end of the day, the return journey to Volos begins, and the city center is reached in the evening.
