Day 1 – Istanbul - Milan
After meeting at Istanbul New Airport 3 hours before departure and completing our check-in procedures, we fly to Milan (MXP) Airport. After landing, we transfer to the 5* Costa Fortuna.
Day 2 – Civitavecchia | Rome City Tour
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join the Rome City Tour organized as an extra by our guide. On this full-day tour, after a 1 hour 15 minute journey by our bus waiting for us at Civitavecchia Port, we take a panoramic tour of Rome. Places to be seen include; Castel Sant’Angelo, the Tiber River, Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Popolo Square, Republica Square, Via Nazionale, Marcello Theater, Circo Massimo, Forum areas. Afterwards, we explore Rome’s famous squares on foot. Places to be seen include; Pantheon Square, Navona Square, the Fountain of Love and the Spanish Steps, where we end our tour and take a shopping break. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and accommodation on board.
Day 3 – Messina | Savoca & Taormina & Messina Tour
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join the Savoca & Taormina & Messina tour organized as an extra by the ship. During our tour, we will see the places where the world-famous movie The Godfather was filmed. Taormina, one of Sicily’s most beautiful tourist resorts, is another beautiful area we will see during our tour. Then we will set off toward Messina, described as the “Gateway to Sicily.” Founded in ancient Greek times, this beautiful city is considered the spiritual capital of Sicily with its historical past. After our enjoyable visit in Messina, one of the region’s most modern and lively cities, we return to our ship. Dinner and accommodation on board.
Day 4 – La Valletta | Mdina & Valletta & Mosta
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join our Mosta & Valletta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk tour organized as an extra by the ship. Our first stop is Mosta. On this tour, we visit the Santa Maria Assunta basilica, which has the third largest dome in Europe. The basilica’s outer diameter is 56.2 meters, and its interior paintings were made especially by painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see a replica of the 200 kg bomb that was dropped by German Nazi aircraft during World War II in 1942, pierced the dome, and got stuck in the church floor without exploding, and we will learn about the church’s interior and exterior architecture. Then we visit Mdina, Malta’s former capital, a natural set where many scenes of the famous Game of Thrones series were filmed. While walking through the narrow streets of this medieval city known as the Silent City, we will see the magnificent Saint Paul’s Cathedral, Falson Manor built in the 13th century by the Falson family, one of Malta’s noble families, the Carmelite Monastery built in Baroque style in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and Mdina’s old houses. Afterwards, we continue our tour by visiting the fishing village called Marsaxlokk. You should not miss the view offered by the small, charming fishing boats called Luzzo, unique to Malta in color and design. At the same time, in this charming fishing village where an open market is set up, we will have free time for our guests who wish to have lunch at local restaurants offering menus of fresh fish and seafood during their free time. After our free time, we will set off toward Valletta. We will carry out our Valletta city tour. Valletta was chosen as the European Capital of Culture for 2018 by the Council of the European Union. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent walled city of Valletta from the outside. After the bus tour, we will explore the capital Valletta by walking its lively streets with our guide. Our first stop will be the Barracca Gardens, built on the upper part of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, also offer a magnificent view of the Grand Harbor and the three old walled cities. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. Day 5 – At Sea
The entire day will be spent cruising at sea. A perfect opportunity to enjoy this magnificent ship. You can have your breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the open buffet restaurant, which offers a variety of foods prepared fresh by special chefs to suit everyone’s taste, or at the A La Carte restaurant at your specially reserved table. During the day, in addition to yoga and fitness classes, you can make use of the gym equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym, which also includes outdoor tennis, volleyball and basketball, or bodybuilding equipment. After dinner, if you wish, you can spend time in the ship’s colorful and entertaining bars and cafes and listen to live music, or you can attend theater shows consisting of Broadway-style musicals, or try your luck at the casino. Day 6 – Heraklion (Crete) | Crete Island Tour
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join the Crete Tour organized as an extra by the ship. On the tour we will take in Crete, which has always been one of the most important islands of the Mediterranean throughout history, places to be seen include Plateia Elefterias (Freedom Square), Agios Titos, Rasih Bey Mansion, Ayos Minas (Cathedral), Ottoman Bon Marche Building, Valide Sultan Mosque Fountain, Evkaf Building, Morosini Fountain, Ottoman Barracks, Venetian Loggia, Venetian Harbor and shipyards. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and accommodation on board.
Day 7 – Piraeus (Athens) | Athens City Tour
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join the Athens City Tour organized as an extra by our guide. On this tour, Agora, the Temple of Zeus, the Parliament Building, Syntagma - Omonia Squares, the Presidential Palace, the Prime Minister’s Residence, the Historic Olympic Stadium, the National Gallery, the War Museum, Panepistimiou boulevards, the National Library and the Academy University are among the important places we will see. Then we set off toward the Acropolis. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship.
Day 8 – Volos | Meteora Monastery and Pelion Mountain Villages Tour
After breakfast on board, guests who wish may join the Meteora Monastery and Pelion Mountain Villages Tour organized as an extra by our guide. Starting from Volos, exploring the mystical monasteries of Meteora and the traditional villages of Mount Pelion is an unforgettable opportunity for those who want to experience both the natural and cultural richness of Greece together. Departing from Volos in the morning, the tour reaches Meteora with an approximately 2-hour journey accompanied by impressive views of the Thessaly Plain. Meteora, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its 14th-century monasteries built on massive rock formations. By visiting two of these monasteries with a guide, you can closely examine the symbols, wall paintings, and architecture of Orthodox Christianity. You will also have free time to photograph the panoramic views of the region. Later, you can visit traditional villages such as Makrinitsa and Portaria located on the slopes of Mount Pelion. With their cobblestone streets, Ottoman-era architecture, and magnificent views, these villages offer the opportunity to get to know Greek culture and lifestyle closely. By taking a coffee break in the village cafés, you can experience local flavors and shop for souvenirs. At the end of the day, the return journey to Volos begins and the city center is reached in the evening.
