Thessaloniki & Kavala Tour Every Friday Departure 2026

Day 1: Istanbul – Ipsala

We meet our guests at the designated locations and begin our journey. Following the Tekirdağ - Keşan - İpsala route, we arrive at the Turkish border in Ipsala.

Day 2: Thessaloniki

Arrival in Thessaloniki in the morning and panoramic city tour; the promenade, White Tower, Rotunda, fair square, Ottoman and Byzantine monuments, Hagia Demetrius Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Greece, Statue of Alexander the Great, Hamza Bey Mosque, statues of E. Venezelo and P. Konstantin, Vardar, Macedonia, Aristotle, and Eleftherios squares are among the places to be seen. At the end of the tour, we visit the house of the Great Leader Atatürk and settle into our hotel. In the evening, our guests who wish can join an optional Greek tavern night, with delicious food, Greek music, and unlimited entertainment accompanied by bouzouki. (50 EUR)

Day 3: Thessaloniki - Kavala – Komotini – Alexandroupoli – Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Kavala. After approximately a 2–3 hour journey, panoramic city tour in Kavala. Following visits to the Aqueducts, Port, Castle, 19th-century Neoclassical buildings, Pangia, Old and New Town, Acropolis, Lighthouse, Ag. Nicholas, Teodoro Kimissi churches, and the welfare house and statue of Mehmet Ali Pasha of Kavala, free time for lunch. After meeting up, the return journey begins. Travel toward the İpsala border gate, passing through the cities of Xanthi, Komotini, and Alexandroupoli panoramically. Guests who wish may join the Porto Lagos tour, which will be arranged additionally by our guide. (10 EUR / Our tour takes place if all of the group participates.) After passport and customs procedures, travel to Istanbul by following the Keşan – Tekirdağ – Silivri highway. After a free meatball break in Tekirdağ, the program ends with arrival at the starting points in Istanbul in the evening.
