SOUTH ITALY TK 2025 (BRI-NAP) LECCE (1) & ALBEROBELLO (2) & NAPLES (2)

DAY 1        ISTANBUL - BARI - LECCE 

Meet at the Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Istanbul Airport International Terminal 3 hours before departure. After luggage and ticket procedures, depart for Bari with the scheduled flight of Turkish Airlines. Following our arrival, a panoramic city tour will be conducted. The tour will include sights such as the Cathedral and St. Nicholas Basilica, Margarita Theatre, Petruzzelli Theatre, and the Old Town. After the tour, we will head to Lecce. Upon arrival, another city tour will be organized. In Lecce, known as the Florence of Southern Italy, we will visit places such as Santa Croce Basilica, the ancient city center, Duomo Square, Sant’Oronzo Square, and the Naples Gate. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2          LECCE – ALBEROBELLO 

After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Guests wishing may join the optional tour organized by our guide to Otranto (50 Euro). Otranto is the place where the Ottoman fleet, under the leadership of Gedik Ahmet Pasha, first landed in Italy during the campaign in 1480. After the unexpected death of Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, Gedik Ahmet Pasha was summoned back to Istanbul, and thus the campaign in Italy came to a halt. Our tour will include the Otranto Cathedral, where the skeletons of soldiers from Otranto who died during the Ottoman siege, the Old Otranto Castle, the Aragonese Castle, and San Pietro Church. After the tour, we will move to Alberobello. Upon arrival in Alberobello, we will see the Trullo houses, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Transfer to the hotel in Alberobello after the tour. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 3             ALBEROBELLO 

After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Guests wishing may participate in the optional tour called Puglia Villages (85 Euro). During this tour, we will first visit Locorotondo. Our visit in this famous village will start with the central Basilica. The ancient city center, churches of San Nicola and San Giorgio will be seen in Locorotondo. Following our visit, we will head to Ostuni. Upon arrival in Ostuni, we will begin our city tour, where we will visit Ostuni Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace and its courtyard, Ostuni walls, the Sant’Orozo monolith, and the Municipality Building. Afterwards, we will proceed to the coastal town of Polignano a Mare. Upon arriving in Polignano a Mare, we will begin our city tour, exploring the old city center and the beaches of Polignano a Mare. After that, there will be free time at the magnificent seaside of Polignano a Mare, followed by a return to the hotel at a time determined by the guide. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 4         ALBEROBELLO – NAPLES 

After breakfast, we will move to Naples. There is an opportunity to join an optional tour to Matera along the route (35 Euro). Matera will be visited, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and consists of churches and houses carved into the rock. After the Matera tour, we will continue to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, we will conduct a city tour. Our tour will cover the Royal Palace built in the 16th century, the San Carlo Theatre, famous for the world’s most important performances, Umberto 1 Gallery known for its cafes and shops, San Francesco Di Paolo Church inspired by Pantheon in Rome, Plebiscite Square, Angevin Castle, and Naples Port. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5        NAPLES  

After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Guests wishing may join the optional tour to Amalfi Coast (95 Euro) organized by our guide. In this tour, we will witness Italy's most beautiful coastline, with its breathtaking views from high cliffs, charming colorful villages overlooking the sea, winding steep roads, decorated gardens, and turquoise waters. We will start our journey in Sorrento, one of Italy's most romantic cities, with its lush streets and flower-filled squares. Next, we will pass through Positano and head to Ravello. This town appears as if all its houses are stacked on top of each other and is filled with lemon groves. We will have free time for a photo opportunity in Positano, followed by lunch and shopping in Ravello. After free time, we will travel to Amalfi. Guests may choose to visit Amalfi Cathedral, while others can enjoy their free time on Amalfi's beautiful streets. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 6              NAPLES – ISTANBUL 

After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Guests wishing may participate in the optional tour to Pompeii (55 Euro) organized by the guide. Pompeii, one of the world's most famous archaeological sites, lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, which erupted in A.D. 79, destroying the city. Archaeologists revealed the city in all its liveliness following long-term excavations that began in 1748. Highlights of the tour include the Basilica, Forum, Fauna House, restaurants, baths, and bakeries. After the tour, transfer to Naples Airport. After completing our ticket and luggage procedures, we will depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. Arrival in Istanbul and end of our tour.
