Life and Short Information on Cruise Ships Cruise ships can be described as floating deluxe hotels equipped with the latest technology. You can follow the daily program indicating activities from the ship newspaper delivered to your room the evening before each day. This newspaper can be thought of as a bulletin containing all the information you will need for the day on the ship, including planned activities, weather, information about the ports of call, contact details for reservations in special restaurants or spas, etc. The most common language on the ship is English. If you are on a Turkish-guided program, our guide will assist you on all topics from ship bulletins to restaurant menus and will prepare special bulletins for our valued guests. At embarkation, you must check in your luggage, deliver your passport, and provide your credit card information (a deposit will be made for possible expenses) at the check-in desk located at the entrance of the ship. Your passport will be given to you only at the end of the tour after it is submitted at the beginning of the journey. After delivering your passport to the ship, you will receive a Boarding-Card. This card will serve as your passport, your cabin key, and for all transactions you will make on the ship. The Boarding-Card includes various information such as your full name, cabin number, and dining session. There is a dress code for passengers on the ship. Since there are special events on the ship, such as the captain's welcome dinner and gala night, we kindly ask you to bring elegant and classical attire. You can track events like gala night and welcome dinner, as well as other special events, through the ship newspaper mentioned earlier. Additionally, the dress code is specified in the bulletin. On cruise ships, there are open buffet restaurants where you can eat at any moment of the day, available 20 hours a day. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the main restaurant included in your fare, there are fast food spots and open buffets. There are also specialty concept restaurants on the ship. You can reserve in advance to taste special meals prepared by special chefs in restaurants like the Thai restaurant and Steak House. Themed restaurants are subject to extra charges. Cruise ships offer many amenities and activities for families with children. There are children's pools and play clubs where children can spend time on the ship. Cruise ships are designed by engineers to prevent swaying during travel, and ship captains are specially trained for this purpose. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the ship, including your cabin. You can smoke on the open deck where there are no signs prohibiting smoking and only in places where ashtrays are provided. Medical staff is available on the ships.
