Malta Tour with KM Airlines for 4 Nights (MLA-MLA)

Day 1 ISTANBUL – MALTA – 3 CITIES

We start our tour by meeting our guide at the Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 09:00 AM. After our ticket and luggage procedures, we will take our flight KM785 with KM Malta Airlines, departing from Istanbul to Malta at 11:35 AM. We will arrive in Malta at 12:15 PM local time, after which we will conduct a panoramic tour of the 3 cities. Sit back and explore the cities of Vittoriosa, Cospicua, and Senglea, also known as Cottonera, built and supported by the Knights of Malta. After our bus tour in Cospicua, we will walk through the mysterious and mystical narrow streets of the city of Vittoriosa, where we will see historic churches and palaces. Lastly, we will be welcomed by Senglea, located in the center of the Grand Harbor with its observation tower featuring a magnificent harbor view. At the end of our tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 2 MALTA – (Mosta & Rabat & Mdina & Valletta)

After having breakfast at our hotel, the entire day is free for leisure. Guests who wish may join the extra tour organized by our guide to Mosta & Rabat & Mdina & Valletta (60 Euro). Our first stop will be Mosta. In this tour, we will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, which has the third largest dome in Europe. The interior paintings of this massive basilica were made by the artist Giuseppe Cali. We will see a replica of the 200 kg bomb that fell through the dome and stuck into the church floor during World War II but did not explode, and learn about the interior and exterior architecture of the church. After leaving Mosta, we will proceed to Rabat, where the historically preserved narrow streets surround Mdina, colonized in 700 BC. After seeing Rabat, we will visit Mdina, the former capital of Malta, known as the "silent city," where many scenes from the famous series Game of Thrones were filmed. As we walk through the narrow streets of this medieval city, we will see the magnificent St. Paul Cathedral, the Falson Palace built by one of the noble families of Malta in the 13th century, the Carmelite Monastery built in Baroque style in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and the old houses of Mdina. After some free time, we will set off towards Valletta. We will conduct a city tour of Valletta, which was selected as the European Capital of Culture by the European Union Council in 2018. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent city of Valletta surrounded by walls from the outside. After our bus tour, we will explore the lively streets of Valletta with our guide during a walking tour. Our first stop will be the Upper Barracca Gardens, which were built on the upper section of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city and also offer a stunning view of the Grand Harbor and the three ancient cities surrounded by walls. After our break in Valletta, we return to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 3 MALTA – Gozo Island (Calipso Cave, Ramla Bay, Dwejra, Ta’pino Church, Marsalforn Salt Pans)

After having breakfast at our hotel, the entire day is free for leisure. Guests who wish may join the extra tour organized by our guide to Gozo Island (80 Euro). We will head to Cirkewwa harbor to catch a ferry to Gozo Island. Gozo Island is greener than Malta and is a place where life seems to have stopped. Our first stop is to see the Inner Sea and the Fungus Rock. Gozo Island is a region where famous films like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Troy were filmed. Later, we will visit the Ta’pino Church, which was a small chapel in ancient times but is now a large dedication church. Afterward, we will head to see the historic salt pans from the Roman period, where natural production still takes place. We will head to Victoria Rabat for free time. At the end of our tour, we will cross back to Malta and return to our hotels. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 4 MALTA (Popeye’s Village & Marsaxlokk)

After having breakfast at our hotel, we will return our room keys to the reception. The remaining day will be free for leisure. Guests who wish may join the extra tour organized by our guide to Popeye Village, Sliema, and the fishing village of Marsaxlokk (60 Euro). We arrive at Popeye Village, where the movie Popeye was filmed in 1980. Here, we will tour the village and watch shows featuring Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Bluto. After visiting Popeye Village, we will continue our tour to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You should not miss the view of the small, charming fishing boats called Luzzo, characterized by their unique Maltese colors and designs. Additionally, in this quaint fishing village, you will have free time to taste fresh fish and seafood if you wish. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 5 MALTA - ISTANBUL

After checking out from our hotel in the early morning, we will transfer to the airport. After our ticket and luggage procedures, we will depart for Istanbul at 06:00 AM with flight KM786 of KM Malta Airlines. We will arrive in Istanbul at 10:35 AM local time, and this concludes our tour.
