Cruise Ships Life and Short Info Cruise ships are equipped with the latest technology and can be likened to floating luxury hotels. Daily activity programs are distributed to your cabin each evening, which include all activities, weather, port information, special restaurants, spa reservation contacts, and everything about what will happen onboard that day. English is the most common language onboard. If you are in a guided program in Turkish, your guide will support you in all matters from ship bulletins to restaurant menus and will prepare special bulletins for you. At boarding, you need to deliver your luggage, passport, and credit card information (for possible expenses/deposit procedures) at the check-in desk located at the ship's entrance. Your passport will be held at the start of the voyage and returned at the end. After delivering your passport to the ship, you will receive a Boarding-Card, which is your ID, cabin key, and used for all transactions onboard. The Boarding-Card contains your name, cabin number, and meal session details. There is a dress code for passengers on the ship. Since there are welcome dinners and gala nights with special events onboard, it is advised to bring stylish and formal clothes. You can follow these events and other special events via the ship's bulletin, which also specifies the dress code. Restaurants with open buffets are available for 20 hours a day where you can eat anything at any time. Besides breakfast, lunch, and dinner included in the main restaurant, there are fast-food points and open buffets. There are also themed restaurants such as Thai and Steak House where you can make reservations and enjoy special dishes prepared by chefs. These thematic restaurants are extra charge. Many facilities and activities are available for families with children on cruise ships. Child pools and play clubs are provided for kids to enjoy their time. Cruise ships are designed by engineers to not sway during travel, and crew captain are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited everywhere inside the ship, including cabins. There are no signs restricting smoking on open decks; you can smoke where ashtrays are provided. There is a doctor and nurse on board. Accessible cabins are available.
