Elegant Venice Carnival Tour with Turkish Airlines for 3 Nights (VCE-VCE)

1st Day ISTANBUL – VENICE – VERONA GARDA

We meet at the international departure terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we will take a Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Venice. After our arrival, we will depart for a Verona & Lake Garda tour with our private bus. During the Verona city tour, known as the city of Romeo and Juliet, we will visit the historic Arena, Erbe Square, Palazzo Ducale, Dante Square, Scaligeri Church, and the house of Romeo and Juliet. We will also visit the charming town of Sirmione along the shore of Lake Garda, which is one of the largest lakes in Italy and Europe, followed by a transfer to our hotel after the tour. Overnight stay at our hotel.

2nd Day VENICE

After breakfast at our hotel, we leave for the Venice Carnival. Upon arrival at Tronchetto Square, we will take a short boat ride to St. Mark's Square and have free time to enjoy the Venice Carnival. It is believed that the first Venice Carnival was held in 1162 to celebrate a victory against the Patriarchate of Aquileia. The festivities became traditional and extended from the end of December until the beginning of the Easter holiday. During the Easter season, meat is not eaten, and the word carnival actually comes from the Latin words “carne vale,” meaning “farewell to meat.” Today, traditional masks are still produced and sold. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.

3rd Day VENICE – MURANO & BURANO

After breakfast, we will take a traditional gondola ride, one of the symbols of Venice, where we will see the canals of Venice. After the tour, we will move on to Murano & Burano island tour. Murano and Burano are two separate islands located in Venice. These islands attract attention for their unique characteristics. Murano Island is famous for glass craftsmanship, while Burano Island is known for lacework and lace craftsmanship. Particularly, Burano is quite different due to its five-island formation. These islands are connected by bridges. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.

4th Day VENICE – ISTANBUL

After breakfast at our hotel, we start our day with some free time for shopping and sightseeing, depending on our flight time. We then proceed to the airport at the time indicated by our guide. After luggage, ticket, and customs procedures, we will fly back to Istanbul with a Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, our tour and services come to an end.
