COSTA SMERALDA and TUNIS Western MEDITERRANEAN & SICILY (SEMESTER PERIOD) 01st DAY ISTANBUL AIRPORT – MILAN - SAVONA We will meet at the Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 03:30 in the morning, followed by the Turkish Airlines flight TK1873 departing for Milan at 08:15. We arrive in Milan at 09:05 local time and transfer to the Savona port where our COSTA SMERALDA ship will depart. After checking in and passport procedures, we will settle into our cabins and have some free time. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:30. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 02nd DAY MARSEILLE (AIX EN PROVENCE) Our ship will dock at the Marseille port at 09:00 in the morning. After breakfast, we will depart for Marseille City Tour & Aix En Provence. We will begin our tour in Marseille, an important maritime city, with a visit to the “Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral” located on a high hill. Following this visit, we will see Longchamps Fountain, Saint Charles train station, old town, Hotel de Ville, and the marina area among other places. Afterwards, we will head to Aix en Provence, which is located 40 minutes away from Marseille. The tour will start with the famous St. Saviour’s Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century, with its Romanesque façade and covered arched path. During our enjoyable walk in the old part of the city, we will see the ancient inns and the Mazarin district designed by the brother of Cardinal Mazarino in the 17th century. After the tour, we will have free time and then return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 03rd DAY BARCELONA Our ship will dock at the Barcelona port at 08:30 in the morning. After breakfast, we will depart with our vehicle for a Barcelona City Tour. Our tour will start with the special bus waiting for us at the port and will include La Rambla Street, Cristoforo Colombo Monument, Maremagnum Artificial Port, Barceloneta Beach, Olympic area and port, Catalunya Square, Paseu de Gracia street, where Gaudi's houses have turned into an open-air museum, and his masterpiece, Sagrada Familia. After some free time for shopping, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:30. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 04th DAY AT SEA This day will be spent sailing at sea, and our ship will offer you many alternatives. Those who wish can enjoy the open and closed pools, jacuzzis, and sunbathing areas on the ship. Others can shop at duty-free stores, try their luck at the casino, or enjoy various music and entertainment options in many bars. All day long, different meal options will be waiting for you. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 05th DAY LA GOULETTE Our ship will dock at La Goulette port at 08:00 in the morning. After breakfast, we will depart with our vehicle for the Carthage & Sidi Bou Said tour. Our first stop, Carthage, is a city founded by the Phoenician colonists. Among the sights we will see here are the Early Christian Museum and the Carthage National Museum. Our second stop, Sidi Bou Said, is a picturesque village perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, where we will enjoy a pleasant walk through its winding, cobbled streets. Its white walls, contrasting azure blue doors, and decorative window grills remind one of Greece and Bodrum. After some free time for taking photos and buying souvenirs, we will transfer back to the ship at the designated time by our guide. Our ship will depart from the port at 16:00. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 06th DAY PALERMO Our ship will dock at Palermo port at 08:00 in the morning. After breakfast, we will disembark for the Palermo City Tour. We will take a tour showcasing Sicily's capital, the city of Palermo. Among the sights we will see are Palermo Cathedral, Norman Palace, Quattro Canti, Pretoria Square, Palazzo Abatellis, Palazzo Butera, Castello a Mare, and Santa Maria della Catena Church. Our last stop will be Teatro Massimo. After seeing the theater where a scene from the film "The Godfather" was filmed, we will have free time on Palermo’s famous street, Via Maqueda. Guests may wish to experience the delights of Sicilian cuisine and shop for souvenirs. After the tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 16:30. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 07th DAY CIVITAVECCHIA / ROME Our ship will dock at the Civitavecchia port at 08:30. After breakfast, we will head for the Rome City Tour with our waiting vehicle. This all-day tour will involve a bus tour approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Civitavecchia port, where we will have panoramic views of Castel Sant’Angelo, Tiber River, Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Popolo Square, Republica Square, Via Nazionale, Marcello Theatre, Circo Massimo, and Forum areas. Later, we will discover Rome’s famous squares on foot, visiting places including the Pantheon Square, Novana Square, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps, where we will conclude our tour and break for shopping. At the end of the tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 19:00. Dinner and overnight stay on the ship. 08th DAY SAVONA – MILAN - ISTANBUL AIRPORT Our ship will dock at Savona port at 08:30. After breakfast, we will complete our disembarkation procedures and leave the ship. We will depart for Milan Airport with the special vehicle waiting for us at the port. After arriving at the airport, we will complete our check-in and passport procedures before departing for Istanbul at 18:35 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1876. We will arrive at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time. End of our tour.
