Life on Cruise Ships and Short Information
Cruise ships are equipped with the latest technology and can be likened to floating deluxe hotels. You can follow the daily program of activities, which details all the events, weather, and ports of call, in the ship's daily newspaper distributed to your room the evening before. This newsletter contains all the information about what will happen on the ship that day, including activities, weather forecast, port information, special restaurant or spa reservation contact details. The most common language on the ship is English. If you are on a guided program in Turkish, our guide will assist you with all matters, from ship newsletters to restaurant menus and special bulletins designed for our valued guests.
In boarding, you need to deliver your luggage, passport, and credit card information (for deposit transactions) at the check-in desk located at the entrance of the ship. Your passport will be handed back after the trip begins, and after the end of the tour. Once you hand over your passport, the ship will give you a Boarding-Card. This card serves as your passport, key card for your cabin, and is used for all transactions within the ship. The Boarding-Card displays your name, cabin number, dining session, and various other details.
A dress code is in place for passengers on the cruise. Due to the captain's welcome dinner, gala night, and other special events, you are kindly asked to bring elegant and classic clothes. You can follow the organization via the initial ship's daily newsletter. The dress code is also specified in the bulletin.
Cruise ships have restaurants open 20 hours a day, where you can eat at any time. Besides the main restaurant included in your fee, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there are fast food points and open buffets. Additionally, there are themed restaurants like Thai, Steak House, and others. You can make reservations in advance and taste special dishes prepared by expert chefs. The themed restaurants are extra chargeable.
There are many facilities and activities for families with children. The ship features children's pools and playrooms where kids can spend time.
Cruise ships are designed by engineers to prevent rocking during travel, and ship captains are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas, including cabins. Smoking is only allowed on open decks where no specific signs prohibit it, and in places with ashtrays. There are also doctors and nurses onboard. Accessible cabins are available on the ships.
